Delivery and setting method are the primary differences.  

I just use the freebie delivery method.

I won't have any more traffic in the alley until we put the garage in from here on - we have very few deliveries left that can't be from the front.While the City cost to operate is so bizarrely inflated, it gives insight into how it functions.

With my kitchen delivery and install starting the following Monday they stepped up and stayed late to do the work.

Will you hire local letter writers/stuffers/delivery or will you be doing that yourself week in and week out?  

It is also sometimes a pain in the butt trying to rehab a unit in a high rise since you need to reserve elevators frequently for contractors to use to throw away trash, bring in deliveries, transport supplies, etc. and the doormen get annoyed.

I ended up getting in Lowes with FREE delivery whereas you have to pay delivery fee with these local guys. 

@Mike Cumbie  Great point I have Asian clients that came over to the US and we had a bank meeting with the pres of the bank and senior management.. the card exchange was quite formal.. two hand delivery and a bow of respect.this particular clients Asian business is work 3 times the bank... but you would never have known it when you watched him present his card to the bank pres.. out our way there are Class's we can take through MLS for dealing with foreign clients so we don't look like boorish Americans.  

I'd contact Uber Drivers, FedEx drivers, UPS drivers, pizza delivery guys, etc.
