If your refrigerator and stove are being used 50% for business and 50% for personal use, then you can depreciate 50% of those as well.

I found BrandsMart USA to be the cheapest, each set includes microwave, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator cost me ~$1900 (Amana brand).‎I would love to use better quality appliances such as GE, Frigidiare, Whirlpool, Maytag and LG but I find it hard to spend $3-6K on appliances.

One would not be able to use section 179 for something like a new refrigerator at a rental unit because the refrigerator at that point would essentially be leased out as part of the property.

You're much better off though considering an apartment or house as a collection of assets with varying life spans.A 30 unit apartment will have a stove, refrigerator, and other appliances in each apartment and perhaps a couple of spares for replacements.
