I manage around 400 rentals with 14 years of experience and have never been sued once.

The other tenants would call the management company on Saturday to report the air conditioning failure and were told that a service person would fix the problem on Monday. 

My wife continued to be the administrator of record with the state as we added homes to our portfolio and she would assign the house manager as the administrator designee for the home. 

We currently own/manage properties across a few states including Hawaii so we aren't new to managing short term/mid term rentals.

Hi Aaron,It's always challenging when companies go through transitions like this, especially when it involves something as personal and critical as managing retirement accounts.

A lot of investors who succeed in EC know the tenant base very well and a lot of them self manage.

I have a feeling just starting out my home is not going to get much exposure on sites like air bnb or vrbo until I get some good reviews.If anyone has experience in this market I would be intrigued to hear how best to manage my new STR.

That means learning how to vet a manager.

For our second STR, we are currently researching Sherman, potentially / ideally, a less expensive duplex that we could rennovate and self manage from Dallas with workers coming to the area in mind. 

I am researching a project and doing an extensive property visit next month on a project that yields well over six figure in revenue.
