FYI, we're about 115 ft above sea level here at our personal house, another property we have is in Ravensway (Cypress, TX), which is just raw land at this point, but based on videos people have posted is 5 to 7 feet deep right now.

I am looking to purchasing my first home in San Antonio, TX and also have some raw land located in west Texas where I would like to build a duplex.

If I purchase raw land and build a spec home to sell, but the whole thing takes over a year, will I pay capital gain instead of ordinary income tax?

Don't know what "insider tips" means but I'd hate for the dog to get the raw end of the deal here.

Some people are speculating by buying SFRs and raw land north of McKinney and Prosper.
