Investors, real estate agent, independent contractors, etc. 

Others are independent. 

Your mother could simply pay you as an independent contractor as well and provide you and the government with a 1099.

The virtue of the TIC structure is that they own a piece of real estate independent of you - it just happens to be a smaller property that is a % of a larger property that you also own some of.

You may have colleges, universities or business schools that offer accredited classes as well as independent RE schools.  

As an independent agent you will be responsible for finding and developing your own leads which will take time.  

My long-term goal and ultimate desire is to become financially independent, however, short-term I want to get myself and my family out of debit and be able to comfortably take care of our bills.
