I don’t want to 100% jump into real estate and focus on that hence why I am pursuing dentistry, but I do like the idea of eventually having a few properties to have that additional income and contribute to to retirement.Maybe I’m crazy but any insight would be greatly appreciated!

After I move I can rent out the area I am currently staying in, or sell if I dont want to do out of area management as I will most likely move out of the area for my job.I currently am employed part time (16-20 hours per week, $19/hour) for a Fortune 50 healthcare company doing software development, and this summer I did 40 hours a week with them.

We plan to rent the space out (furnished) for short-terms, mainly 30-90 day rentals to healthcare workers (travelling nurses, drs, etc.) since we are close to several major hospitals.
