So although I might have maxed out 3 cards I still had 4 others with a $0 balance that I also increased the credit limit on to try and offset the hit to my score thus keeping my credit card utilization % low or at least trying to.There also is nothing more volatile to a credit score whether negative or positive like % credit utilization.

@Jeff B.You have a ton of good opinions in response to your question.As far as my opinion goes for what I see in my market is appreciation is always nice but it can be very volatile in the wrong market (Arizona, Florida in 2008).
