To remove the acoustic texture, it is first wetted down and then scraped. 

It looks decent and even has some "texture" from the creases.

It keeps it’s texture much longer and it is easier to keep clean.

One thing you could do is use S mortar or something similar with a brushed texture to go over the top of the faux brick if it's structurally sound, and then get artistic with a sponge with a row on the bottom (all along the front, under the windows, etc) , to give those bricks a nice natural tone/look (tans, greys, with multiple passes with dabbing with a sponge) might give you a really nice look.This is all if the brick is structurally sound, of course. 

99% of my walls are textured and I can paint like a madman on those.  

They may be willing, at a minimum, to install a clean-out that they can use a jet truck with a cutter attachment to clean the shared line and keep it clean. 3.

Could I add some skinny moulding pieces in rectangular shapes near the edges of each wood slab to add some texture?

Newer models are basically the same dishwasher with just different skins.Is the ceiling heavily textured or is that popcorn?

While I love the texture that these cedar planks bring, it's pretty massive and could be muted if I paint it.

Things to consider are tile size (timeless 8x8, 12x12, 16x16, subway, vs trendy 6x24, large plank tiles, etc.) textures (trendy fabric look) and colors.
