I am happy its going well for you but if your wife is going to work every day and you are on the couch or at home in general its not a good situation-I understand the buy and hold strategy and yes real estate has its boom and bust years.

@James Hsia if he can’t pay for the next two months then he or she will need to move out and find a friend or family member’s couch to sleep on.

We furnished the one side with Costco couches, mattresses, and cheap Amazon type decor.

I wouldn't use it as the primary living room couch, but as a secondary couch that also sleeps 4, it's worked well and looks great.
