Turns out zoysia is slower growing so less need to mow it; downside is that the lawn turns a straw color when the weather gets colder and only greens up again come spring warmth.Given that I see exposed rafter tails near the soffit, I'll guess that this was built around 1920 to 1930 (give or take a couple of years).
