Ideally your cleaner should have enough other work so that doing your property is available in their schedule but not required for them to pay their bills.

I don't think those are bad things and sometimes the personal decision for your ideal life outweighs the "conventional hold forever" decision.You have options, that's the best place you can be.

Keep the timeline to own minimum 7-8 years, ideally 12-15.

Around year 7 or 8, ideally year 10, re-assess your equity and maturation of those debt notes and re-adjust how you invest to suit your needs. 

Thanks Brett, it is my understanding that by buying a property of equal or greater value it would allow for maximizing the tax deferral, which is ideal, but not a legal requirement? 

Ideally one side would sell out to the other, as divorce is often acrimonious or can become such.

I understand that it is less than ideal, but it is reality.
