Based on observed changes, are these folks dinosaurs destined for near-term extinction or will there always be a big part of the RE industry operating this way?

I'm an old dinosaur so I like to eliminate a lot of follow up if I can.

Lots of people here just starting out and then you will find the old dinosaurs like me around B/P quite often.

That will change at some point, but most likely when we get rid of the dinosaur regulators, and the wire fraud thing decreases...

I can't even name a startup in Austin (Dell doesn't count as it is a dinosaur at this point), but most of the ones I named above started in Silicon Valley.On appreciation, I still think it is a great buy to go in on certain areas on dips even if it is expensive.  

I've been investing in real estate for the better part of 15 years now and other than assumable mortgages disappearing like the dinosaurs, there is really nothing new under the sun. 99% of all the information you need is somewhere on the internet.

Conventional mortgages are almost going the way of the dinosaur, at least for starting investors.

Might it not really be worth it to even hunt for a property for Airbnb seeing as the model may become a dinosaur in the not so distant future?

I am already doing my homework to see what and which way to, years ago there was such thing as a beast called No Doc Loans now like the Dinosaurs they are no more but checking around I now am finding Private Lenders that basically do the same thing as a No Doc Loan but not like a Mortgage Company.

You are looking for dinosaurs thy don't exist.
