Covid decimated margins in the service industry, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of non-anchor retail office space starts hitting the market soon, with lack of demand driving values down.Will they crash like 2008 prices? 

I recently maxed out on I-bonds, which seems to be a reasonable compromise between staying somewhat liquid and letting your cash pile be decimated by inflation.

I started thinking about investing in real estate when the COVID19 pandemic decimated the airline industry.

It's now dropped to $699k and I'm concerned I'll be catching a falling knife.Point is, this seller has been there for decades and doesn't even need the proceeds to purchase their retirement ranch in MT but a flipper would've been absolutely decimated.  

Small business was decimated and we have NOTHING for them, yet some mega bank abused there responsibility instead leveraging political power to get a bail-out if/when vs taking action they could have, should have, but simply refused to and I'm supposed to cry for them.... 

building on the post that recently described the new laws in colorado springs, i came across this one which on the surface seems would decimate the market in CO and most all ski communities would see a flood of sales and vacant homes on the market ...unless of course one bought in decades ago ...curious if anyone has been following this closer...
