We mostly agree that the IRA Custodial account goes into line 1 and the LLC name goes into line 2.

Having said that, they compiled a list of SD IRA custodians that breaks them down by large, medium, and small based on assets under custody, as well as notes which are custodians and which are TPA (third party administrators). http://selfdirectedira.nuwireinvestor.com/list-of-...Hope that helps!

not sure how much i should be worrying about the fridge, i mean its new, under warranty and the least of my concerns right now but its obvious they'd like to turn a dispute over forging my sig, regaining their kids custody under falsified docs, the gainfully employed parent quitting her job the day after i confirmed employment, and the sudden inability for owner(and his housemate) to have quiet enjoyment of his own home, into a dispute over new fridge that only the freezer works, and into the need for area rugs to be provided by owner.i'll be working on a lease violation notice tonite to plaster on their door tomorrow. my only holding out is they are offering to pay more rent and i know once the violation notice goes on the door, they are likely to just enjoy the 'free ride' for however long it last and likely to brew up crazy hardship stories being the stellar actors they've been thus far!

Obviously if he finds a property and ties and it up when he goes to secure financing the lender will probably have issue with him being the appraiser giving a valuation, and that is where the disclosure becomes important. My daughters mom and I are doing some custody stuff using the same family law attorney right now, no issue there it's well known by all involved, and we know if things were to go south we'd both have to get new attorneys, but we're not fighting just trying to establish everything together for our daughter.

If you're self-employed, the Solo 401k will likely be the better fit for you. Here are few Solo 401k benefits:Compared to an IRA, Solo 401k contributions limits are roughly ten times higher. There is no custodial requirement for the 401k.You can take participant loans from the plan. You don't need the additional expense and administration of an LLC to have checkbook control. There is a built in-Roth component whereas IRAs are either traditional or Roth, not both.A spouse can also participate in the same Solo 401k plan. The Solo 401k has additional tax benefits over an IRA when investing into real estate using leverage. If you're not self-employed or if you have a business with employees, the self-directed IRA will be your main option.

An elderly family friend, not of good health, had custody of his grandson because the parents, (family friend's daughter and husband) were drug addicts, and he did not want his daughter to lay her hands on the paid off family home, but for his grandson to inherit when he is of age.
