legal? unethical?

A friend of mine is a broker. He wants to become an appraiser licensed and then lender licensed. This seems unethical to me is it legal for one person to be all those things? Doesnt it take away a level of fairness in judgement? Am I too goody two shoes for the modern real estate world?

Emily, I’m not sure about the legality, but when in doubt ..disclose, disclose, disclose….

I think it really depends on the situation. Is he purchasing for himself or others?
