This doesn't help you...assuming your entities are set up such that you can pay from one entity to yourself, you would be deducting costs on your rental saving your marginal tax rate (let's pretend you're at 10% for the example).

While I don't pretend to be a legal expert my situation has not caused any tax audits or other legal questions... and we have even transferred some properties back and forth between our personal holdings and the LLC.
