If I want durability, I use lower (not lowest) of their grade paint from Dunn Edwards, that is the equivalent of highest grade paint for PPG/Behr. there lies the difference.

I would also renovate with an eye toward durability (which I'm sure you know) Lower your make ready costs, for example, with durable flooring like tile, where you can.I also wouldn't rule out granite, if I were you.

If you plan to allow pets, I would rehab/choose the place accordingly; of course things like avoiding carpets in favor of durable laminates (that won't retain smells) will factor into your decision making.Ultimately I decided I'd rather have a high quality tenant with a pet.

As it looks more like hardwood or tile, they offer you very good finish at the surface and they are very durable too.

My PM is making ready one of our 16 units and came to me with the wood veneer flooring, saying it's cheaper and durable.

Not to say all IKEA stuff is brittle, but their highest-end stuff is still priced well and not as durable as most market products.

I can assure you that everyone in the nation will follow this trend eventually and things will begin to change drastically adopting new, affordable, and more durable materials for new construction houses.
