Hi,

What are your thoughts on vinyl tile flooring? I'm thinking of installing in my rental.

Thanks

Tony

@Tony Velez I use a lot of vinyl tile of varying degrees of quality.  It works well in scenarios where you have a flat, level surface that is perfectly clean, or when you can easily create one.

You should probably use the thicker ones (~$1 per tile) because the thin ones will scrape or tear really, really easily.  You can find vinyl sticker tiles as cheap as $0.25 here where i live, but you get what you pay for.

It is easy to replace if/when a tenant messes it up, which is nice.

I will say, I'm not a huge fan of using these tiles in a bathroom, because in my experience, they are difficult to make water-tight.  However, you can use the floating vinyl planks, which cost a little more, but make a nice water-tight seal.
