AppFolio is probably the best choice in PM software right now.

Both these investments may be good; but for the “wealth accumulation” stage the land that triples in value is clearly the better choice.

I don't know how planted your roots are in NY but it may be beneficial to go house hack in a more affordable state.

I know that, overwhelmingly, it's what you fill your head with that counts, it's the day-to-day actions you take, it's the spouse you marry, it's the systematic choices you make, and perhaps most importantly, the personal hypocrisy you don't allow yourself to get away with.

@Karan Shah, I will say that what Michael has mentioned is a better choice.

Also MLS properties have sellers that are ready to sell and are selling because they have to by choice or otherwise.. 

FHA Loans:FHA loans are a popular choice for house hacking because they require a lower down payment (as low as 3.5%) and more flexible credit requirements.

@Michael Mainini you have options and renting could be a good choice if your interest rate is low.

The two choices I would suggest is; If the doors are painatable in that they would look like a nice kitchen rather than a patched up kitchen, then you should paint them.Replace the cabinets with an inexpensive imported type of cabinets.
