As a former New Yorker who moved to Las Vegas to invest, I'd say while building an equity position is great, it is best to invest in markets that offer you better cash flow per dollar invested.

I agree, and I am anxious to see how this shift effects the dynamics of those in the Bronx and Lower Westchester County.In theory if this continues we may see large influx of New Yorkers moving out of the city and in Westchester County

An emerging up and coming city is always going to be under the radar, before it hits Money Magazine's best places to live and everyone knows about it.Just like any investments, I like to identify investments before everyone knows about it, before the appreciation takes place.
