Vacant property owner location

What's the best best to locate the owner of a vacant property when the only address you get through the assessor's website is the same address as the vacant property?

You are now in the realm of skip-tracing, which is the practice of finding missing people.

You can either lean to do it yourself or pay others to do it for you. Most people who work without benefit of staff learn some basic Skiptracing techniques, lean on those heavily and sub out the tougher files.

I use high level subscription-based programs like Accurint, Merlin and Ancestory.com. I know other who favor haunting social media sites. You can get a trial subscription to PI magazine PI.com and find plenty of skiptrace related ads, too.

And don't forget hiring licensed PI's. Despite their expense and difficulty in keeping them focused, they have made me an awful lot of money finding people that others could not or did not find.
