I have a dream of owning a huge portfolio of rentals, but I just can't figure out what to do for my first investment.I bought the house I currently reside in and rent the spare rooms out t a couple buddies.

@Brian Gibbons Great post.Below is what motivates me.Myles Munroe was using the below story in talking about people taking action and pursuing their dreams and goals because only they have the ability to fulfill what they have been given.Myles Munroe said in a sermon that it is everyones wish to be surrounded by our loved ones when we are lying on our death bed.

Within the next year or so, we will be looking into building/buying the "house of our dreams."

I hit the web and stumbled across biggerpockets i have been stalking the forums podcasts blogs and webinars as much as possible but hesitated to reach out. well i couldn't have found bp soon enough because i have now stumbled upon a partnership that is willing to  finance a small multi family, and put the title in my name, in exchange for 50% of future profit.needless to say i am very nervous as a couple months of reading in no way make me a qualified investment vehicle. but i am not willing to let this opportunity to enter the field of my dreams disappear. nobody in my extended social circle has any viable knowledge in real estate. so hear i am reaching out to the multitudes of knowledgable investors here on bp. i am open and grate full for any advice and criticism on any topic and would really love to find someone who understands my market.

I am very interested in digging the game rules on this land and starting my dream along with all of yours.

That's a pipe dream.  

The agent that only sells dream houses to Ken and Barbie don't get how investors think and quickly get frustrated.

My word of advice would be if you can take the 3 days do it, they will get you pumped, just don't fall for the hook line and sinker pipe dream they will be trying to sell you.

Hey everyone at bigger pockets, I just want to tell you guys that it is true that when you have a true deal the money shows up by magic, it's there, but you must truly believe in what you are doing...I started flipping about a year ago, now I'm on flip #6 using a LOC from my home for repairs, but the purchase price for the houses my private investor brings it...it's true, but you must think, dream, and take BIG action.
