Given a proper time horizon, I don't think most folks lose money, but in the short term real estate is a terrible "quit your job in 2 years with no money" strategy.

Not quite sure PM is handling the situation with expertise either. 1.

I'm guessing it's out because she failed to pay the bill (utilities are in her name), but PG&E of course won't tell me anything.I've sent a 3-day notice to Pay or Quit.

We do need to polish up on our sailing skills though, we're not quite as skilled as our friends, but we could probably get there. 

However, you usually buy these properties at or a little bit above market value. so it really takes quite a bit longer for you to build wealth with these properties and you are really just hoping for appreciation overtime.

In escrow, 2 extensions done and expiring soon and my loan just getting it done but its not coming together now the total isnt quite enough. lf l walk l lose deposit $7500. l dont want to walk.What are my options?
