Hello, I am looking for some advice on what type of property I should invest in (as well as where to look for a good deal),A little background: The first deal I did was having a contractor I know build a 4plex, which I am now selling for about $20K profit.

Hello Daniel, My background was in the film industry in production and it definitely came in handy while renting out a furnished house.

@Dominic Williams Like anything, location and condition effect the price but you can buy and sell almost anything for a profit if you buy it right

I'm currently in software sales, but have a background in construction (my father was a small builder for 40+ years).  

And I don't know if there is any in dept background check that we can do.

He even showed the property to the tenant and ran their background checks for me. 

I have no background in real estate per say (except for the Real Estate for Dummies book I just finished), but I have a burning passion to make money.

I have no experience as an investor in real estate as my background is from IT.

Corporate background and trained in accounting  

My background is in multi-family development and architecture.
