There is no way we know about her medical condition and i don't think its illegal to do background check tenant about the medical history.

Since I am medically recovering and not working I read about 2 books a week and spend about 10 hours a day learning on the internet (7 days a week). 

In many cases the property will be sold off to create cash for the estate or to pay bills, usually end of life medical.
