It would be awful to lose 160K in equity (or potential equity).The best way to convince her to move would be to offer her a practical solution / positive outcome - arrange for her to move somewhere else now and get some money from the sale of the home at closing.

This would require the plan to allow for in-service distributions, something they could check on with the plan administrator if there were interested.Yes, the participant loan feature is the remaining option for them to borrow the funds from their plan and then they could convey these funds to you personally (via a loan or whatever arrangement you collectively decide on).

Hi Everybody and thanks again for making BP the BEST Community, Thank god closing on another flip soon, usually don't buy occupied properties, this one I decided to go for it, arranged the tenant to move, and will pay for the moving expenses.Question is, 1)Would you have them sign they give up all rights so they don't change their mind?
