I would never rent to anyone without meeting them.See this thread on how some one did that sight unseen then complained.If you aren't showing it again until Wed, it doesn't sound like anyone could rent it out from under them.  

The only issue with this that they seem to have is they're  constantly changing venues so that people with the one hour drive to the meeting one week only has a 15 minute drive the next.

If you want to expand your horizons there are many North as well, a personal favorite the NEREIA in Chelmsford is tomorrow (Wed 8/6) at 6:30/7:00 networking/meeting.I think you have a sound strategy of going to the New Bedford area if you want passive cash flow.  

The venue is the 3rd floor in midtown and if you want more information you can go to the network tab and click "events and happenings" and look for the post on the Houston meet up for the address and more info.

If in a neighborhood that's kept up, it's a very attractive alternative for newly weds, live-ins, and single parents.

We have a trip planned to Costa Rica next March for a friend's wedding...

So, the wife and I(semi-newly weds) are looking to buy our first rental property in the next 6-12 months.

It's actually a pocket watch, band, and flowers with my wedding date.

I ultimately used some of that "Oops" money the bank provided me to help pay for my wedding!

Should be closing Wed or so, so will be happy then!
