@Zac Ballin yes, you can have up to two houses per VA entitlement so the permanent roommate and I could theoretically do 4

In the rental game over your career, you will have 50% of tenants have an overstay guest or quasi-roommate that isn't on the lease.

I'm house hacking with tenants on one side and I have a roommate.

I will be collecting rent from one unit because my plan is to house hack and live in the other unit (No roommate).

We have two spare rooms for rent, 1 full bathroom for the rooms to share + half bath downstairs for roommate/guest use.

On paper you tenants, but really you have roommates.
