Hello from Northern California, soon to be Springfield, Mo

Hi Folks,

I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Laura and I currently live in Eureka, Ca, but am working on moving back to the Springfield area this summer. I have been a lurker on BP for the last few years and decided it was time to introduce myself. 

I consider myself a newbie investor and am still learning a great deal. As of right now, I have completed one deal and own a SFH in Springfield, that I currently am renting out. My second deal(ish) is the house hack I have been living in for the last two years. I have had roommates and been remodeling the house and will be putting it on the market in June. To date, I have laid new flooring, upgraded both kitchen and the bathroom, and will finish painting interior and exterior. Whew! that has been a job, but it has been rewarding and I continue to add knowledge and skills that I'm sure will be valuable later on.

Currently, I'm not quite ready to purchase another house, as I'm working on getting my capital up. I am in interested in single family and small multi-family buy and holds. I am interested in the possibility of flips or live-in flips. 

Feel free to drop a note and say hi. I look forward to meeting people and would love to begin working on my networking. I'm by no means a contractor, but I have a fair bit of experience with DIY re-model type work, if I can help out in any way, please let me know.

@Dylan Vargas, Hi, there. I'm moving out to Mo for a couple of reasons, but yes, real estate is one of them. I have family out there as well. As most folks know, Ca is expensive, and my partner and I have decided that if we're serious about financial independence then relocating somewhere that is more affordable is one of the fastest ways we can lower our expenses and free up more capital. Are you still in the Chico area?
