They make a flush pull latch similar to what you see on pocket doors, if I can find a link I'll post it here.

Flush mount, we inserted it into the wall so that the back end is in the closet.

Fortunately the concrete didnt harden below grade and was mostly flushed out but thats pretty horrible. 

When you have 10 trillion dollars in liquidity during Covid it takes a while to flush it out.

Any good brands of water saving flushing mechanisms?
