Bankruptcy, tax liens?

So I called the attorney associated with the property and was told that the owner has filed for Chapter13 bankruptcy.  

I believe it just states that it was discharged in bankruptcy.

Now the original seller is going thru chapter 13 bankruptcy and they are calling the note due.

I have been working with a savings and loan and was all set to make an offer on the property when I was informed that a bankruptcy from 2.5 years ago would prevent me getting PMI insurance.I was putting 5% down and doing an inhouse loan.

And they are one of two US car companies that haven't declared bankruptcy:) F market cap is $54B, TSLA market cap is $33B.

Investing for cash flow is investing....Investing for appreciation is speculation.If you invest in enough deals for just appreciation ($0 cash flow), there's a much better chance you'll likely end up in bankruptcy.  

If your personal finances are not cleaned up, you are risking bankruptcy by investing in real estate (student loans are not bankrupt-able either).
