I think regionally things may be different as I am yet to find the issue NOT surface.

The biggest employer in the region shut down about a year ago, and over the past year, the area was directly hit by three hurricanes (two of them major).

Haven't seen much activity on BP lately up here in the NorCal region, I'm sure everybody is busy out there taking on some great deals.

Lots of investment in the region as well so hopefully quality job growth will continue.

Florida is still a good market because of the sustained growth and the landlord friendly atmosphere.   

It falls short of the 1% rule which with current rates is not sufficient in most markets to have achieved real cash flow after properly allocating for sustained expenses. 

I agree their insights into often undervalued markets is interesting but I also think that thousands of people look at the same data and these are often small markets and can't sustain hundreds of new STR's
