I definitely planned on using Furnished Finder to fill out the midterm rental.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it, for the niche it fills.

To continue with the 8-unit example, you again end up spending many multiples of these costs to build a comparable portfolio of single family properties.Another disadvantage of single family properties is that there is only one tenant per building and if they stop paying or if there is a vacancy, the entire cost of that property is on you and your wallet until you can fill that vacancy and get the rent coming in again.

Then go for a rug that mixes those colors together well (you also really need a coffee table to fill the space and something vertical like a floor lamp to help balance out the different window sizes.)

So I offered to pay for the flight, if they returned a clean and empty house.

Seems like it's in a lower end area so if it is filled you will have tenant issues and turnover cost.

Question: I am wondering what are some things you've done in the past at your short term rentals to fill the vacancies during your slow season?  

If low wet ground check with people moving dirt for free fill dirt.

Applications were being lost, or the website wasn't permitting tenants to fill them out.

Oh and people would fill out buyer or seller forms, and they would never populate.
