I would not have been able to do the 35k to adopt without having the year I had last year on my rental income.And like the other poster, while I was in the Ukraine for 7 weeks last year and not collecting any paycheck from work (FMLA is without pay but at least they guarantee me a job to come back to), my rents still came in.
