By calamity, I mean all of your personal and all of your businesses assets being subject to a judgment from an incident that happened at one property.Having multiple LLC's can be expensive though, and as an overly paranoid lawyer, I always recommend the strategies for the most protection (and even then, they are not guaranteed).

I'm looking for recommendations on the best insurance companies, and policies, that will cover incidents such as property destruction in the event of an eviction.

They used to publish in the paper these incidents and charges but all I see now is the police log and arrest number. if they all go it will stay  vacant or under rented until summer.

Our ins company requires we complete work and claim within a year of incident.

I did ask if they got travel insurance (no) and after this incident I added info about travel insurance to my listing page in order to be proactive.

I am not including the eagle incidents.

Typically the overage fee we have seen is $220 per incident. 

So, the question for the Tenant/Landlord Attorney's is:Since this incident had occurred over a month ago, with no resolve. 

If it resulted from a specific incident, you may have an insurance claim on your hand.

Is there any way to require the other insurance company to waive the ability to make future demands for the incident as a condition of paying the amount they are requesting?
