I feel like networking has been the best way of immersing myself into the culture and the community.  

(Water is standard procedure in my area as they winterize the property, but first time I ran into a place where they won't turn on the electric).

I found an off market apartment building south of Lakeland, and was hoping to bounce some ideas off the other members at our REIA meeting only to find that no one I ran into owned any commercial property.

When I ran my analysis, I used a conservative number of $1,650 to make sure the property could still cash flow as a rental.

I can't say for sure if he's a scammer and would never say that about someone without knowing for sure... but my spider sense went off and I ran out of there before spending much time on him. 

I ran across one of his listings today.  

My ultimate goal in real estate is to own enough rentals that I can live off the income, travel the world and experience different cultures.
