Steer clear, and keep an eye on him in case he does it any way.

This was a monumental project for me but very eye opening.

Consider who your target market is, what are the norms of that market, then if there are aspects that you want to avoid you'll need to provide contractual covenants to manage those undesired aspects which are legal.

It's a tough market to enter at the moment, but I'm of the belief that there are always deals to be had if you keep your eyes and your mind open.

My husband has been reading a lot about financial "freedom" and one topic that got his eye was Real Estate Investing.  

I am a finance professional currently, so I bring that mindset to the table, as well as a good eye, a passion for property improvement, and some funds.  

The property is in Westchester County, NY and obviously we don't have much experience and we are also keeping an eye on the market for the next deal.
