Hello everyone!  I'm so excited to be here!  I'm NEWBIE to real estate investing.  My husband has been reading a lot about financial "freedom" and one topic that got his eye was Real Estate Investing.  My father has multiple properties and is a general contractor, so this peeked my interest even more.  However, my father and I haven't spoken in years.

I am currently reading the Ultimate Beginners Guide to Real Estate Investing and I'm nearly finished. I have a lot of questions, but I wanted to finally introduce myself!  I've read so many  posts lately and honestly a lot of them are intimidating but I'm hoping to gain the knowledge and wisdom through more reading and with your guidance.

one "problem" that we are running into are how to fund real estate property. My husband is very weary to "jump in" because of that.  We "own" our home and he isn't willing to jump into any more debt until student loans are repaid.  Have many of you started this way?
