If the comps are in the ballpark of $110,000, how on earth are there two mortgages with a balance of $170,000?

When I used to buy timber land and standing timber I would get calls from Realtors telling me to check this property out  ( this is pre google earth) and I would ask them now you know it has timber right? 

Hell on earth...We finally identified a contractor and engineer (referred from the neighbor's daughter, who is also a rehabber, but past on our house because she knew about the wall issue...).

I've powered through a marathon of about 15 podcasts in the last few days, and I really like the down to earth approach you guys take, making this business not seem so "elite" with high barriers to entry.  

Why on earth would you go to the bank with the seller?

In my county they use Google Earth to measure everything from space then if they think there is something different from their records they will go out and look at it in person. 

The guy turned out to be  a cool, down to earth guy and we are talking about doing some deals together.
