In all reality it is not "a bad thing" that there is a tenant for a longer period.

Later that year, I attempted finding deals through a realtor friend on the MLS to fix and flip, and ultimately decided it was not the right time to be flipping, but in reality I just was undereducated and underprepared on how to find deals and the possibilities of different types of deals.I'm going to work on networking with cash buyers and build my first marketing campaign and get some deals under contract!  

See if they are using actuals or projections (actuals = reality, projections = fantasy. 

The reality is that without clarity and a plan, you are just bumping around in the dark which may explain your frustration. 

Although unlike the reality shows, it usually isn't much.

After it all crashed and the market flooded with foreclosures the surge of DIY flipping hit the TV in conjunction with a viewer apatite for "reality TV". 

I signed a lease with roommates but never lived in the property because the MLS said it had 3 bathrooms when in reality it had 2.5.

We expected some carpet damage and that a repaint would be needed but in reality the wood floors are destroyed, windows need replacing, all carpets need to be replaced, cabinets require replacing or refinishing, and the grounds need landscaping.Originally our plan was to fix this home and sell it.

The reality is, many areas of the country are much more expensive, but the rents are also higher.
