that's our Architects version of Modern Farm house.. and in that location we can get by with the taller roofs in some jurisdictions you have height limits that necessitate prairie style roofs here in the PDX metro area ( cant block sunlight of the neighbor)

If you need any zoning modification to happen you'll likely need to take care of that before the permit will be issued.After you get your general permit the contractors who will do the specific trades will likely be responsible for pulling their specific permits.
