I filled my van 3 times--with 3 dressers, 2 sofas, 2 dining sets, 2 standing lamps (free), a huge stone coffee table, an end table and about 6 pieces of art (also free--and nice!).

I furnished the house myself–which includes a dining table and chairs, couches and a tv with tv stand.  

There are a lot of interior changes that can be done without raising red flags without permits: flooring, enclosing a dining room or other interior space into a bedroom, building closets, changing out cabinets and fixtures, etc.

I keep dining more that aren’t listed on those site so it gave me a great place to get started.
