I don’t know how things are in NH, but in certain parts of Jersey City — those in close proximity to trains to Manhattan — the difference between a 4 unit rental and 4 units that could be sold individually can be several hundreds of dollars.

Family of four: 2 kids, 13 and 16, renting a 2BR in midtown Manhattan for $5,300.Trying to steer clear of analysis paralysis, I do feel we have some unusual circumstances that could take a little extra figurin'.

I work in finance (read really long hours), in downtown Manhattan, so having a short commute is a must.

My in laws are in Beekman/lagrangeville would have loved to buy the primary in Dutchess, but the wife works in lower Manhattan.
