Right now it sounds like it may be a coveralls/mask/HEPA-filter vacuum job.

For additional protection I make an effort to mask our personal identity as well as possible through publically filed records.

But if their willing to put their placard on  the properties I saw (siding falling off, paint peeling)....that speaks volumes.

I had to ride one atty like a rented mule to keep him moving - I've peeled his cases off and assigned them to others.I'd take @William Joseph up on his offer to find a non-REI attorney. 

Personally, I wouldn't do the peel and stick,  unless you're really going for the lowest of incomes where they just want/need a roof.

He was also "that" neighbor with the overgrown lawn and peeling paint.  

I worked a full-time job with 2 small kids and self-managed until I hit about 20 units, then started peeling them off as they became vacant and turning them over to a PM.  

, at least use a whitewash or a lime wash that is meant for brick and still allows the walls to breath naturally as intended, so the brick won’t start to crumble and the paint peel in short order like it will if you cover it in latex paint.
