Additionally, I had some scammers steal someone's identity and apply using the stolen identity, which Zillow missed (they had fake IDs made, but likely they didn't bother to make sure the numbers were legit, so it should have been caught by Zillow).

I've seen that happen multiple times at other properties that we've listed.others have talked about how you can watermark your craigslist adds to prevent this.. i would think CL would make this mandatory there are millions being stolen this way from honest folks  that are just not experinced with this stuff.I get spammers hitting me on the PM on BP  and I will call them out.. tell them I am reporting them as spam.. and boy that elicits some really ugly stuff..

But my counter point to this is investors dont buy these properties to just let them go to pot.. they buy them not understanding how the areas truely are the depth of the vandalism and crime.. and after getting their stuff stolen a few times or their house destroyed they give up.. who can blame them.

Ours gives us a long list, with about ten different names for pitbulls (Staffordshire Terrier, Dogo, certain mastiffs, whatever - they're all pitbulls), and German Shepherds, Dobermans, Chows, just a whole lot of dogs with bad reputations.Oh, BTW, you should know that a lot of times the reason that they want the big scary muscular dog is that they need it to protect the merchandise (drugs).And no evictions in NYS now.
