That will kill every project right away. 4) If you come across a 'mandatory', like a  rotten beam that must be replaced, then put in writing, in great detail, exactly what will be done, exactly how much it will cost, and exactly how much time that will add to the project.

I actually did it myself and saved about 4 or 5K.There are three ways to make something lead free:Remove the surfaceCover the surfaceReplace the surfaceExamplesIf your old boiler has lead paint (and you plan to upgrade to central air) --> remove the boilerIf your basement I-beam (structural support) has lead paint --> cover the I-beam with drywall If your base trim board has lead paint --> replace the trim Ideally you want your house to be LEAD FREE CERTIFIED.

I haven't done anything to the roof itself but add a beam that my architect said I should add even thought it's not in the plans, but this construction person said I didn't added correctly.
