Dealing with City of San Diego Inspectors for a Garage ADU

When I bought my house years ago, the past owner had added a permitted room in front of the garage. I am now converting it into an ADU but this is my first project and I've found out that I started everything backwards. I'm ready to call for a structural inspection but there are some obvious problems (not obvious to me, obviously). Anyone out there with City of San Diego Inpsector experience? I need some guidance please. Thank you.
