Would you take this to a small claims court to try and retrieve some or all of the funds?

On Dec 12th, I was awarded back rent by JP court but tenant filed appeal (month deposit is waived as bond if you claim not to have any $$$). 

And I can tell you, I told my property owners, when you go to court, basically figure the landlord is guilty until proven innocent.

Just use Propstream's skip trace function and contact these owners simply asking if they would like to sell their property.

On the 25th i had my lawyer file the eviction with the county, and got a court date on August 9th at 10:30am. 

A home inspector would have identified the non-functional windows and that should have been addressed immediately.2.
