You can probably change them now, but it will cost you money.Just like the fans, you probably have plenty of other items in this building that are not built to todays codes....like GFCI and ArcFault protection...maybe you don't have elevated mast for the electric service coming into the house, maybe you don't have backflow preventors on the hosebibs and plenty of other items.
