I typically ask for a 620 credit score or higher.....but I give some leeway for between 600-620 if the root cause is a short sale, foreclosure, or collections more than three years old.

@Anthony Davis  glad you asked I come from very humble roots... we lived in a 1 bed apartment and had an old beat up Volkswagen with no back seats for a long time. and I would ask my dad why are we passing out phone books on the door steps..
